Gino Carlini picked up a camera at the age of 13, this is where he took his first concert images of Aerosmith from the crowd and he was instantly hooked. By the age of 17, he was already getting photo passes for most of the bands coming through his hometown of Detroit and selling his images to music magazines . During the mid to late 1980’s, he was taking live photos of artists such Alice Cooper, Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden,KISS, Judas Priest and 100s of others.

From the 1980s thru the 1990s, he went on tour with bands like Tesla, Testament, and several others. His work being published in music magazines like Burrn, RIP, Metal Hammer, Kerrang, and Billboard. His photos also appeared in Tour Books, Cd Booklets, Posters, and Music Books. Some of his clients include Universal Music, Geffen Records, Atlantic Records, Megaforce, Q-Prime management, Brockum Merchandising, Cherry Lane Publishing and Hal Leonard Publishing.
